The August 4, 2014 edition of WWE's Monday Night Raw emanates live from the Frank Erwin Events Center in Austin, Texas and begins with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, The Authority.

Triple H plugs the WWE Network and says fans can watch SummerSlam for just $9.99. He doesn't like to pat himself on the back but he will tonight because he assembled a stellar card for the pay-per-view. He hypes both Seth Rolins and Dean Ambrose and says they will have a match at SummerSlam. The winner of tonight's Beat the Clock Challenge gets to pick the stipulation. Ambrose will face Alberto Del Rio and Rollins will face Rob Van Dam.

Stephanie gets on the mic and the boos intensify. She announces she and Brie Bella will have a contract signing later tonight for their SummerSlam match. Triple H continues to hype the $9.99 price tag to the point that the crowd starts to join him in saying it. He hypes the John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam.

Randy Orton gets on the microphone to trash talk Roman Reigns, his opponent at SummerSlam. Reigns comes out through the crowd and stops halfway through the audience to get a microphone. He says he took everything Orton had last week and he is still standing tall. Reigns says he would be happy to beat down Orton tonight for free, but Triple H books him on the spot against Kane in a Last Man Standing Match. Reigns wins the match after a spear to Kane.

A promo video for Cena vs. Lesnar airs.

Damien Sandow comes out to Oklahoma's music with an OU helmet and a Sooners shirt. He talks about the University of Texas' Red River Rivalry with the school. UT alumnus Mark Henry comes out for their match and does the Hook 'Em Horns sign, so Sandow attacks him. Henry hits the World's Strongest Slam for the pin.

A backstage segment airs with Adam Rose and the Exotic Express. He looks into the Oculus mirror and sees himself as a lemon in a boring suit. He shakes it off and leads the Exotic Express out of there.

Dean Ambrose defeats Alberto Del Rio in a Beat the Clock challenge.

After a commercial break, we learn Rusev defeated Sin Cara on the WWE App. He and Lana sing Happy Birthday to President Barack Obama in Russian. Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger interrupt her and says they fight for America at SummerSlam. Rusev attacks Swagger with the Russian flag.

Dolph Ziggler defeats Cesaro with the Zig Zag while Miz is on commentary. The Intercontinental Champion taunts him with the belt after the match.

Stardust and Goldust defeat Rybaxel when Stardust hits his new finisher, Dark Matter, for the pin.

Triple H is backstage with Stephanie. Kane walks up, takes off his mask and leaves.

Chris Jericho defeats Luke Harper by disqualification when the Wyatt Family gets involved. Jericho fights off Erick Rowan and Harper but not Bray Wyatt, who hits Sister Abigail on Jericho.

Diego (w/El Torito, Summer Rae and Layla) defeats Fandango (w/Hornswoggle) with a backstabber. Summer Rae and Layla dance with Hornswoggle, who is dressed like Fandango, after the match. Fandango attacks but Diego makes the save.

Orton is backstage with Renee Young and tells her he will make Roman Reigns suffer.

Bo Dallas gets some revenge on R-Truth by pinning him with a roll up and grabbing his tights.

The announce team talks about the WWE Network when Bray Wyatt interrupts with a promo from the big screen.

WWE airs another hype video for the Cena vs. Lesnar fight.

Seth Rollins is supposed to face RVD in the main event but Justin Roberts announces his new opponent is Heath Slater, which causes Rollins to smirk. He tries to get Slater to roll over for him but he says no and attacks. Dean Ambrose comes to ringside. He keeps distracting Rollins until Slater rolls him up for the win. Ambrose ripped up the contract inside the Money in the Bank briefcase and then filled it up with popcorn, soda and JBL's hat. This means Ambrose can pick the stipulation for the SummerSlam match.

The Authority comes out from the contract signing, followed by Brie and Nikki Bella. Triple H says he would ordinarily oversee such a proceeding, but he must recuse himself because his wife is involved. He kisses Stephanie and Brie tells them to get on with it before everyone throws up. Steph takes a shot at Daniel Bryan and Brie retaliates with the clip of Stephanie getting arrested and pokes fun at her some more. She says she will embarrass her at SummerSlam in front of everyone and will send a message that Stephanie is a fraud, a failure and an embarrassment to her family. Brie says she will do this for her sister, The Big Show, The Rhodes Family and everyone else she has tortured. The crowd, of course, chants CM Punk.

Stephanie says Brie stole the spotlight from her sister and abandoned her husband. She calls Brie a wannabe reality star and says she will tear her heart out at SummerSlam.

Stephanie attacks Nikki and Triple H shoves the desk into the corner to pin Brie. Stephanie plants Nikki with a Pedigree while Brie watches. Brie slaps Triple H and tries to attack Stephanie buts gets a Pedigree for her trouble. She kisses HHH and does a mock Yes! chant as the show goes off the air.
