Igor Vorozhbitsyn is a Russian fisherman who was abruptly saved from a fatal bear mauling thanks to a ringtone his granddaughter put on his phone. That ringtone? Justin Bieber's "Baby." Apparently the singing of Selena Gomez's boyfriend startled the bear, saving the fisherman's life!

"I had parked my car and was walking towards the spot I'd marked out when there was a tremendous impact on my back and the bear was on top of me," Igor told The Daily Mail. "I couldn't believe my luck when the phone went off and he fled."

According to wildlife experts, it wasn't so much the song but the noise itself that startled the beast.

"Sometimes a sharp shock can stop an angry bear in its tracks and that ringtone would be a very unexpected sound for a bear," one expert said.

We won't make any jokes about Bieber's song being a "sharp shock," but feel free to contribute your own in the comments section below!

"I know that sort of ringtone isn't to everyone's taste but my granddaughter loaded it onto my phone for a joke," Igor said, convincing us that he is truly lucky for this joke ringtone.

Vorozhbitsyn still sustained some severe injuries, but luckily the ringing phone kept him alive.
