MStars News has learned that NBA star, Greg Oden was arrested in Lawrence, Ind. Thursday morning, for allegedly punching his ex-girlfriend.
According to USA Today, the Lawrence Police Department reported that the incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. at 7200 block of Maple Bluff Place.
When police arrived to the scene, they found the victim crying as she was holding her face. Another woman who claims to be the victims best friend revealed to police what happened.
"He punched her in the face," the witness shared, according to the police report.
The victim was so upset that she was "uncooperative," police revealed.
The police report also revealed that the victims best friend told the woman that, "There isn't that much love in the world. You need to tell that he punched you in the face."
The site reveals that police "observed blood, swelling to the nose, lacerations to the forehead and nose area of the victim's face," as well as "blood on the sofa and floor in the sitting area. (They) observed (blood) on the living room carpet (and) dirt from a flower pot that was knocked over."
According to TMZ, Oden confessed to police, "Things got out of control and I started to go after the victim. My relative and witness tried to hold me back, but as I swung my arms to move them out of the way, then punched the victim in the face. I was wrong and I know what has to happen."
The drama unfolded at the home of Oden's mother. Oden also told the cops that he and the victim had dated for about two years, but ended their relationship two months ago.
The 2007 first overall pick in the NBA draft player was taken to jail and booked for misdemeanor battery.
