Nottingham Forest have one of the richest footballing histories in the whole of England, yet they've found themselves lingering one level below the English Premier League for quite some time. Forest are in the Championship, meaning they are one promotion away from getting to the EPL, and getting their hands on the huge sums of money that comes with it. The club have completed a $9 million deal for Peterborough United's Britt Assombalonga, who scored 33 goals last season. Posh are managed by Darren Ferguson, the son of legendary ex-Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson. Now he will work with Stuart Pearce.

Can 21-year-old Britt fire Forest back in to the top tier of English football? The flashy forward has signed a five-year contract and he will provide them with pace, power and goals galore. On top of that they have a relatively unknown quantity, with Britt playing most of his games at the lower levels of English football. Posh signed him one year ago for around $2.8 million, which means they've made a huge profit in one year.

Britt was quick to explain how he is feeling, saying "I would like to take this opportunity to thank the chairman Darragh MacAnthony for granting me this fantastic opportunity with Nottingham Forest. I would also like to thank the manager Darren Ferguson, the management team and all the staff at London Road for their help, advice and guidance since I joined the football club. Finally I would like to thank the Posh supporters. Ever since I walked into the club last year, they have been superb and I will always remember that support. I firmly believe the football club can have a fantastic season this year because there are a lot of talented players in that dressing room."

Will Forest return to the EPL, and if so, can Britt help them get there?
