Adam Sandler was just awarded $80,000 of his own money. The Happy Gilmore actor and his brother, Scott Sandler, who runs the comedian's HP production company, were recently in legal battles with his once-upon-a-time nanny, Deanne McDonald, but a California judge just ruled in favor of the movie star, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

McDonald must repay Sandler a reported $80,000 as a result of breaching a "confidential settlement agreement."

Sandler ended McDonald's employment a number of years ago after hiring her in 2009. Following her being let go, she brought up a number of claims against the comedian. Turns out we never heard about it thanks to a deal made in 2010, in which Sandler agreed to pay her $48,000, and her attorneys $32,000, on the oath that she would not belittle him or divulge any personal information about him.

Just last year, however, McDonald tossed that out the window and threatened to sue both Sandler and his brother. She accused her former employer of slavery and criminal activity. But, after further investigation, a judge favored Sandler's case, claiming that the nanny breached their aforementioned settlement.

Judge Norman Epstein recently wrote, "McDonald's contentions – that the fee award was excessive and that HP had breached the settlement agreement, which was unconscionable, subject to rescission and not supported by adequate consideration – are not subject to judicial review. Because the trial court correctly refrained from reaching those issues, McDonald is precluded from raising them as grounds for reversal on appeal."

Looks like Sandler has found his happy place:
