It doesn't look like everyone wants to go back and relive the glory days that were Fox's teen drama The O.C.

Star of the series, Mischa Barton, who played Marissa Cooper for the first three seasons of the show, reveals that she wouldn't take on the role is she was to do it all over again.

According to Metro U.K., the actress revealed in an interview that she "probably wouldn't" play the trouble Cooper if she had the opportunity to do so again.

"It's something I came so close to not doing. I had a really great thing with film. People say be grateful for what you have but it certainly was no the kind of thing I was expecting it to be," she explained. "I've kind of seen it all."

Barton has been pretty vocal in the past about the difficulty that she had experienced while filming the series. She recaps that in this interview saying she was "overworked," and "depressed."

The difficulty of being on the show and dealing with the pressures of being a young actress in Hollywood lead Barton to a run in with the law. She was arrested in 2007 for driving under the influence and marijuana possession and then two years later was admitted to a psych ward after she threatened to commit suicide.

She has since cleaned up her act and says that she wants to be known for her acting career not all the tabloid gossip.

"I just like to be seen for the hard-working actress that I am not for a bunch of extraneous press. In general people are super quick to harbor on the gossipy stuff and less on how much work goes into it."

She knows the pressures that go into being a young actress and reveals advice for her contemporaries, saying, "Keep your private life private to the greatest extent that you can. People have this insatiable appetite for it- so how far can you go with it."
