Ray J had a crazy encounter with police last week. He was ordered to step outside of his car, and then ended up taking pictures with them, which is now an LAPD investigation.

According to TMZ, the singer was driving around the San Fernando Valley in his new Bentley when 2 officers spotted him holding his cell phone, as it looked like he was texting and driving.

Now Ray J is speaking out and sharing details of the crazy day when 2 police officers pulled him over and warned him about illegally texting and driving. The police seemed to be checking out the singer's car because it didn't have a license plate, but a personally designed "RJ" frame.

The little brother of Brandy Norwood told the cops that he was not texting, but instead trying to connect his blue tooth. After the police ran a license and registration check on the singer, they let him off with a simple warning, and questioned him about the music industry.

The singer continued and revealed that he was nervous when he was ordered to get out of the car, but the cops only asked him to do so they could have a quick photo session.

After exchanging photos with each other law enforcement has now got involved. According to TMZ, the LAPD is now launching an internal affairs investigation. The LAPD also says that it is against policy for cops to take photos of a driver after letting them go with a warning instead of a ticket because it creates an appearance of misconduct.

Ray J probably was nervous because this isn't his first run in the law. MStars News previously reported that Ray J allegedly kicked out the window of a police car, in a previous incident, and has been charged with 10 crimes.
