Melanie Griffith Barred From 'Fifty Shades Of Grey'- Daughter Dakota Johnson Not Letting Mom See Her X-Rated Film

Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson is reportedly barring her mom Melanie Griffith from seeing her new raunchy movie, when it is released on Valentine's Day next year.

The daughter of the famous actress has landed the lead role in the BDSM film as Anastasia Steele, and while she is banning her mom from watching the movie, she did however, let her mom take a tour of the set while she was filming.

Melanie explained the experience in an interview with Metro.

"I have not seen Fifty Shades of Grey. I don't think I'm going to see it," she tells the news site. "[Dakota] was like, 'You guys cannot come. There's no way.' So we're not going. I did go visit for a couple of days when they were shooting just normal stuff. I did see the room of pain. I did go in there and check it out."

If it's Dakota's embarrassment that is stopping her from letting dear old mom see the film, she doesn't have to be uncomfortable, because Griffith had nothing but kind words to say of her daughter.

"She's amazing- so good. It's just so beautiful to see her doing this."

She also remarked that she thinks her daughter is on the path to superstardom with her acting career.

"I think that Dakota is going to be better than me and my mom," she told Indiewire. "She is amazing. She watched all the mistakes I've made and the things that happened to my mom. She's a force of nature. I won't see "50 Shades of Gray;" her father and I agreed we'll just read the reviews."
