Actor Robin Williams' Wife, And Publicist Make A Statement After 'Mrs. Doubtfire' Found Dead At The Age Of 63

MStars News is keeping you updated with all the latest, and shocking news of the suicide death of actor Robin Williams. We previously reported that the Mrs. Doubtfire star died from an apparent suicide and was found dead at home, according to the Marin County report.

Now Williams' wife, Susan Schneider has made a statement that was released through the Williams' publicist that reads:

"This morning I lost my husband and best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken," Schneider said.

The statement continued, "As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin's death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions."

Williams' publicist, Mara Buxbaum also added, "Robin Williams passed away this morning. He has been battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time."

During an interview in 2010 the comedian, and actor shared his struggle with alcoholism, depression, his rehabilitation and his open-heart surgery.

"Oh, God, you find yourself getting emotional. It breaks through your barrier, you've literally cracked the armour. And you've got no choice, it literally breaks you open. And you feel really mortal," Williams said.

When asked if the actor was happier at that time, Williams said, "I think so. And not afraid to be unhappy. That's OK too. And then you can be like, all is good. And that is the thing, that is the gift."

Williams last tweet was dedicated to his daughter on her 25th birthday. Williams captioned the throwback photo, "#tbt and Happy Birthday to Ms. Zelda Rae Williams! Quarter of a century old today but always my baby girl. Happy Birthday @zeldawilliams Love you!"
