Another Sad Night In Hollywood, Actress Lauren Bacall Dead At 89

It is another sad day in Hollywood, MStars News has learned that actress, Lauren Bacall passed away at the age of 89. Humphrey Bogart Estate has confirmed the news via Facebook.

"With deep sorrow for the magnitude of our loss, yet with great gratitude for her amazing life, we confirm the passing of Lauren Bacall," the Estate said.

Multiple sources reported that Bacall passed away from an suspected stroke Tuesday morning at her New York home.

Bacall was famously known for her husky voice and gorgeous looks. She started out her career as a model, and then made her way into Hollywood, along side her husband, Humphrey Bogart in her first film, in the 1944's To Have and To Have Not. The two fell in love and got married a year lady.

The marriage was a Hollywood scandal, making news everywhere because of Bacall's age. She was only 19, and Bogart was 44, and already a married man.

The duo continued working together in other films, including The Big Sleep (1946), Dark Passage (1947), and Key Largo (1948). Bacall was the mother of 3 children, and remained married to her actor husband until Bogart died from throat cancer in 1957.

Bacall's other films included, 1950's Young Man With a Horn, and 1953's How To Marry A Millionaire.

Bacall also starred on Broadway in Goodbye, Charlie (1959) and Cactus Flower (1965), later winning Tony Awards for her roles in Applause (1970) and Woman of the Year (1981).

In 1997, the actress received a Kennedy Center Honors, and she was also nominated for a best supporting actress for the Academy Awards that same year, for her role in The Mirror Has Two Faces. The 89-year-old was awarded an Honorary Academy Award in 2010.

Bacall also appeared on an episode of Family Guy as a friend of Peter's mom, named Evelyn.
