With Guillermo Del Toro (The Strain) teaming up with videogame designer, Hideo Kojima, we can expect this to be an intense and scary horror project. With actor Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead) added to the trio, this will be an exciting installment to the popular Silent Hill franchise.

Before The Walking Dead, The Boondocks Saints actor was a relatively unknown but the visionary director Del Toro saw potential in him. First, the Gossip star had a bit part in the filmmaker's giant bug movie, Mimic. Then, the Deuces Wild actor played opposite Wesley Snipes in the Del Toro's blockbuster, Blade 2.

Now the director/actor have teamed-up for the upcoming videogame from Metal Gear Solid creator. At the recent Gamescom, Sony played a neat trick on gamers, which took many by complete surprise. Players actually thought they were playing a demo to the titled P.T., but it was really a sequel to the survival/horror hit, Silent Hill.

On his official Twitter, back in 2013, Kojima teased, "I want to do 3D capture Ryan Gosling and Norman Reedus and make game with them."

According to Variety, Sony took an unusual approach to make their announcement. First they made a long teaser available for download on the PlayStation Store under the supposed name P.T. After an hour and 16 minutes of gameplay, the camera zooms in a dark figure and it turns out to be Reedus in character. Kojima and Del Toro's names appear just when the Silent Hill logo is revealed.

As mentioned here, Reedus will be costarring with Djimon Hounsou in the claustrophobic thriller, Air. The Triple Nine actor has certainly been keeping busy during TWD's hiatus.

Though no release date has been announced, anticipation is building with Norman Reedus, Guillermo Del Toro, and Hideo Kojima attached. Readers, are you excited to play Silent Hills?
