Harmony Korine's highly-anticipated summer flick starring former Disney star, Selena Gomez, might be set for a 2013 release but that hasn't stopped everyone from getting hyped about it.

Who wouldn't love to see four college girls get rowdy on screen especially if it involves goody-two shoes, Selena Gomez and three other attractive girls?

"Spring Breakers" is a story about four college girls who steal money to fund their spring break. It could have been a dream vacation for the girls starring Rachel Korine, Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson and Vanessa Hudgens if not for the trouble they get themselves into. From getting drunk on the streets of Florida to dealing with drug dealers, "Spring Breakers" is the ultimate teen to adult film fans of Selena Gomez should see.

Too bad though that it's set for a 2013 release which means dedicated fans have to wait a year before it hits the big screen. "Spring Breakers" last debuted at the Cannes Film Festival where it surprisingly earned a lot of hype and great comments.

Selena Gomez who is best known for the good girl roles gave quite a splendid performance as the "bad girl" in the film that almost everyone is dying to see it. Though the role wasn't as easy as it looked, Selena Gomez had a lot of training to do for the film of which involved how to smoke a joint properly.

"I'd never smoked a cigarette before in my entire life," explained Selena, adding, "It was really funny - they had to show me how to do it."

However, the real question is why with all the film choices in the world to choose from did the former Disney star opt to play the role of Faith in "Spring Breakers"?

"I was getting kind of repetitive in terms of the roles I was picking, and I really wanted to do something that was completely different," said Gomez.

Well, fans of Selena Gomez won't have to wait long for the film to hit the big screen because the good news is - "Spring Breakers" is set to be featured at the Venice Film Festival. The said festival runs from August 29 to September 8.
