For many, the UFC, boxing and the WWE are three awesome sports, for some it's a 'choose one' type thing, however, last night the three fighting sports blended together, and it was awesome. UFC star Jon Jones fought boxing legend Mike Tyson at WWE Summerslam instead of Daniel Cormier, where Brock Lesnar became the champion. Will Cormier be upset that Jones has pulled out of their UFC 178 bout due to injury, but is still fit enough to fight the legendary Tyson? Should the three sports do a crossover event?
Jones was supposed to fight Cormier on Sept. 27 at UFC 178, but he has postponed the fight due to a leg injury. He will now fight him in early 2015 at UFC 182, but he seemed okay during his play fight with Tyson. Could Jones' fun natured outside of the ring be the reason for this fight? Who would win if Jones was to fight Tyson for real, and could either of them beat Lesnar?
Some fans have previously suggested that a crossover event that showcased talent from all three sports would be a record-breaking, game-changing idea, and it seems the hype this segment has created has proven that is a credible idea. Everybody knows that Jones loves to train for every style of fighting, so one can wonder if he will do some training with Lesnar and Tyson, in preparation or his bout with Cormier.
Was this one of the coolest moments in fighting history, and could the three sports join together if it was even for one night?
