Bow Wow Joins CBS’ ‘CSI: Cyber' With Patricia Arquette, James Van Der Beek! [Watch Video]

Creator Anthony E. Zukier is getting ready to expand on the CSI franchise with another spinoff for CBS. Hip hop artist, Bow Wow, also known as Shad Moss, is joining the already growing lineup of the upcoming CSI: Cyber.

This CSI spinoff will depart from the investigative realms of criminal forensics and focus more on the underground world of cyber crimes. Zukier reunites with CSI showrunner Carol Mendelsohn and ex CSI: Miami showrunner Ann Donahue for this new procedural. Inspired by Irish cyber-psychologist Mary Aiken, special agent Avery Ryan (Patricia Arquette) has put together the Cyber Crime Divison at the FBI.

Deadline reports that The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift actor will play Brody "Baby Face" Nelson, a wanted hacker on probation. Nelson is ordered by a judge to assist Ryan on her cases. If he doesn't comply with any of the rules, the parolee will return back to his prison cell.

The Level 26: Dark Prophecy director is proud to have the Entourage guest star in his cast, "Bow Wow is a gifted young actor who will have the responsibility, through his character, to set an example for young people who watch the show to 'do what's right' even when you know 'nothing but wrong,'"

It remains to be seen if Nelson will butt heads with FBI Agent Elijah Mundo (James Van Der Beek), a thrill junkie who has returned from Afghanistan.
