Just last night, before bringing out Jessica Alba for her most recent performance in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, CONAN host Conan O'Brien announced that this Thursday's (Aug. 21) episode of the TBS series would be a little different than usual.

Rather than airing a regular show, O'Brien and Co. plan to air a full episode of what they call rehearsal "scraps" – bits and pieces from their rehearsals during the day (or sometimes at the taping), which they usually put online here at the Team Coco site. Going with the name, Thursday's episode will hold the title of a "scrapisode."

The original rehearsal vids have become rather popular amongst Coco fans, so I can only imagine what an entire episode will be like. Other than hilarious, of course.

Usually portraying the host and sidekick Andy Richter as more "uncut" and "everyday" – O'Brien states that Richter dresses like Dora the Explorer in his normal clothing – the scrap videos usually tackle bits done that night on the show, whether it be comedy pieces, particular segments with the guests or even the audience. It's a perfect glimpse into the making of the show (at least, partially). The studio chairs are covered, the lighting is darker and things sometimes just don't work out. As O'Brien pointed out, there's even the occasional fight. So ... it's real!

Check out a few "scraps" below:

This will be the first time CONAN has done something like this, so it'll be interesting to see how it plays out. My guess is it'll be a total win. Finally, now I have a reason to watch an hour of rehearsal scraps!
