The CW's Arrow continues to expand its roster of characters for Season 3, specifically the villains. The latest baddie to join the show is one who could make life extremely difficult for Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell).

EW.com reports TRON: Legacy star Matt Ward has joined the show as Simon Lacroix, whom comic book fans might now as the villain Komodo. A recent plot in the "New 52" Green Arrow comic book series presented Komodo as Robert Queen's protégé, who also uses a bow and arrow and who nearly broke Ollie in a recent story.

The site describes the character's Arrow incarnation as "a deadly mercenary using the code name Komodo who wreaks havoc in Starling City." Executive producer Marc Guggenheim expounded on Komodo's role. "Yes, he's the villain-of-the-week for the second week of the show, but you'll see that Team Arrow's pursuit of him is part and parcel of a season-long storyline," he said. "You're going to know what happens to Komodo at the end of the episode, but it will be a little bit tied in better with the season-long mythology than villain-of-the-week episodes have done in the past."

In case you missed it, the show recently changed the title of the upcoming Season 3 episode focused on Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) to "The Secret Life of Felicity Smoak" from its previous title, "Oracle." Read more about this change and what to expect from the episode here.
