Katy Perry ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Instagram Video [WATCH] Dark Horse Songstress Takes The Challenge To The High Seas

Katy Perry is just one of the latest celebrities to take on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. The "Dark Horse" songstress took time out from her Prismatic World Tour to douse herself with some freezing cold ice water.

The singer took to the high seas for her challenge, as she poses on what looks to be an old pirate ships. As she poses in her bikini, she shows off her toned belly and her flawless abs, before getting drenched with two full buckets of ice water. Also you can faintly hear someone yell "Oww" in the background, which would be our reaction as well.

The "This Is How We Do" singer doesn't react to the freezing cold water being poured on her, or the fact that the ice has knocks her sunglasses off her face. She stands in the same model-esque pose for the whole video, even though we are sure she wants to run to get a towel and warm herself up.

She only nominates one person to follow in her footsteps and that is the Queen of Pop music herself, the one and only Madonna.

Will the original Material Girl create an ice bucket video of her own? We will just have to wait and see.

Katy gives all her Katycats out there a little treat as she also posts a second video of herself completing the challenge, yet this time she slows it down she we can savor every moment of it.

The viral videos have been causing quiet the reaction on social media as countless celebrities have participated in the phenomenon, which is helping to raise funds and awareness for ALS research.

In a statement that was released by the ALS Association they have raised $22.9 million as of Tuesday, August 19, 2014, due to the success of these video. This is a $21 million dollar increase when compared to the same time period last year, which raised $1.9 million. The challenge has introduced 453,210 new donors to the organization.
