10) Death Is Not the End

After losing Alcide and Tara, Sookie says no more and sets out to save her kidnapped friends from the H-Vamps. As the fight ensues, Sookie pleads for help as Arlene lies dying in her arms. Before her light goes out, Terry shows up in Arelene's hallucination, telling her to stay.

9) Almost Home

Hoyt saves the day and shoots Violet in the back of the head.

8) Radioactive

When Jason drives the stake into Warlow's heart, every vampire can now feel pain from the sunlight. Before he starts burning all of a sudden, we get to see Eric buck naked, standing in the snow.

7) It Hurts Me Too

This is where Bill has that shocking scene with Lorena. In the midst of passion, Bill snaps her neck, turns her head 180 degrees, and keeps screaming her until he climaxes.

6) Beyond Here Lies Nothin'

After all the orgies turned into a bloody massacre, Sam has to try and save his people. Using his shape-shifting powers, he stops Maryann by goring her with his bull horns.

5) Cold Grey Light of Dawn

This is the first time Eric and Sookie had sex together. It starts out in the middle of the forest, with Alcide and his girlfriend peeking in. The two continue screwing each other at the front porch, then in the living room, finally making their way upstairs to the bedroom.

4) Timebomb

This is where the Fellowship of the Sun and the vampires are about to have their showdown. Though Godric stopped the fight, the Reverend Steve Newlin has one last trick up his sleeve. He sends in an intruder, strapped with explosives, to crash in on Eric's party.

3) I Will Rise Up

Sookie watches as Godric sacrifices himself and lets the sun burn him to ashes.

2) Escape From Dragon House

This is the episode where Sookie meets Eric for the first time at Fangtasia.

This is where it all started, with the pilot. Love at first bite, if you will, when Bill Compton walks into Merlotte's and ends up meeting Sookie. The show even had that catchy song, Bad Things, by Jace Everett.
