LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham has just released a new trailer featuring the many superheroes and super villains of the DC Comics Universe. The Justice League has to round up its members to do battle against two of Superman's deadliest enemies, Brainiac and Lex Luthor.

In the DC Universe, Brainiac is the extraterrestrial android is responsible for for the destruction of the Man of Steel's home planet, Krypton. The green-skinned humanoid is known for shrinking and stealing alien worlds to add to his massive collection. In the videogame, Brainiac has now set his sights on Earth as his ultimate prize.

The maniacal genius is one serious bad dude as he uses his advanced nanotechnology to mess with people's heads. Notice how Brainiac got into the Dark Knight's head and made him into his slave. In the opening of the trailer, we see the hypnotized Batman holding his sidekick, Robin, close to the edge.

Not only is Brainiac showing up in the game, listen closely when the Joker starts singing. Clancy Brown (Starship Troopers) is back to voice the role of Lex Luthor. Not only did the Highlander actor voice Luthor for the animated Superman TV series, he also reprised his role for the second LEGO Batman installment.

Notice the trailer gives a shout-out to the old-school Super-Friends cartoon. In the animated episodes, the Super-Friends would have to take on the Legion of Doom. It looks like the Legion of Doom and the Justice League will have to team-up against Brainiac.

From WB games, check out the official Brainiac trailer here:

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham arrives sometime in 2014. Readers, are you excited to take on Brainiac in the videogame?
