The MTV Video Music Awards can be a pretty dangerous sport, just ask Nicki Minaj. While gearing up to rehearse for her big Sunday debut of her new song "Anaconda" one of her dancers was bit by the 6 foot long snake.

We are guessing the dancer has some pretty big buns, as Nicki's "anaconda don't want none unless you got buns hun."

According to TMZ, while taking to the stage to do a run through performance of her new single for the VMA's, the snake that is featured in the musical number got a little testy and bit one the dancer in front of everyone.

The female dancer is currently in the hospital being treated for her injuries. Now while the snake, which is believed to be an anaconda, doesn't have a poisonous bite, they can still often spread bacteria through their saliva, which can lead to pretty serious infections.

After the incident the snake was taken off of the stage and placed in a container.

No news yet on whether or not MTV or Nicki Minaj will choose to lose the snake for the live broadcast tomorrow night, but we are thinking that no one would be able to top the Britney Spear's "I'm A Slave For You" snake performance, so why try.

The Video Music Awards will also feature live performances by Taylor Swift, Rita Ora, Iggy Azalea, Ariana Grande, Usher, and what is supposed to be a legendary performance from Beyonce. The award show will air on Sunday, August 24 at 8 pm on MTV.
