Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal has been desperate to make a marquee signing for the club, and it appears thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcos Rojo, he might just be about to get his wish. The club had been targeting big-money signings Angel Di Maria and Arturo Vidal, and it's believed they are close to securing a deal to bring the Real Madrid and Argentina winger to Old Trafford. It will cost well over $70 million, but the signing will bring so much positivity to the club that it's easy to consider it a deal worth making.

United are still confident they can get Vidal to leave Juventus, but it appears they're about to sign one of the world's best players in Di Maria. The talented star wants to be the main man, but with Ronaldo and others in his way, he has recently asked to leave, and it's believed he has picked United ahead of other clubs, despite their lack of European football. Ironically it was his teammate, Ronaldo, who has helped to convince him that if he must leave, he should join his former club, United.

Although United would ideally want Ronaldo back, Di Maria is the very next best player they could of wished for. If United could bring in Vidal and Di Maria, the whole club would change its beliefs. Also, new signing Rojo, also an Argentinian, is believed to of convinced Di Maria that Old Trafford was a place for the pair to start their next chapter at.

Would these represent good additions, and can they fix United's problems?
