Cristiano Ronaldo Punches Diego Godin! Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid Fist-Fight Goes Viral [Watch Video]

Things got heated between two soccer stars during the Spanish Super Cup match. While Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid were duking it out during the match, Cristiano Ronaldo went out of his way to punch rival Diego Godin, not once but twice.

As Atletico Madrid was clearly in the win with their first and only goal, Real Madrid tensed up their strategy to try to even out the score.Unfortunately, Ronaldo couldn't tie up the game, leading him to take out his frustrations on someone. Godin happened to be the right player at the wrong time.

As the European champions remained scoreless, there was an opportunity for Madrid to get back into the game. During the corner kick, the two opposing players ended up entangled in their confrontation, colliding into each other full force. That's when the 29-year-old soccer athlete struck his competitor.

It makes sense that the two players were in the midst of a scuffle as everyone was huddling for the diving soccer ball. Thank goodness for slow-motion because that's when you see Ronaldo going in for a second punch.

Godin ended up on the floor after that intense knockout. We see him lying on the ground, covering his face, while his teammates are staring at him awkwardly, wondering what happened to him.

Maybe the referee didn't see the second punch because Ronaldo ended up only getting a yellow card for his tussle.
