When somebody mentions Cleveland in a sporting conversation, it's usually followed with laughter and apologies. Cleveland and sports just don't go together. Sadly that's the case when it comes to winning trophies, but it couldn't be any more different for their fans. The city has one of sport's most loyal fan-bases, with the millions loving the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Cavaliers, and even the newer Cleveland Gladiators. The Gladiators had a chance to put themselves on the map, by winning the Arena Football League's ArenaBowl, but they lost to the Arizona Rattlers. Can they, LeBron James and Kevin Love or Shawn Porter put Cleveland back on the map?

The Gladiators played in front of their own fans, but were humiliated, losing 72-32 to the Rattlers, leaving people to question, can Cleveland win anything? The heartbreaking defeat came a week after their world champion boxer Porter lost his belt to British boxer Kell Brook, meaning Cleveland are champion-less.

You can't win them all, though, and the Cleveland Cavaliers now have LeBron and Love to help them win a championship, so could their city be celebrating sooner rather than later, or is this just setting up the mother of all heartbreaks for the city that can't win the big one?

Cleveland might not be able to win, but their Cavaliers certainly present a chance to stop their bad luck, and put a championship to the city's name. Will LeBron and Love change Cleveland's fortune in 2015, or will they be waiting a long while?
