Nicki Minaj owned it at the MTV VMAs on Sunday evening (August 24). And so did her cleavage.

During her performance alongside Ariana Grande and Jessie J, the 31-year-old rapper had to make a quick wardrobe change. That didn't work out too well:

But what a champ! The Pink Print songstress managed to keep her ta-tas in check, and continued the performance without any issues. She later posted this on Instagram:

nickiminaj: "God is good. As long as a nipple didn't come out to play, I'm fine. Love my team. CASPER, Rushka, Adam, Oscar, Joyce, Gee... Many more to name but they're all winners! No weak links. There's no greater feeling than having ppl who inspire u and who work passionately and relentlessly to get the job done. the myx is starting to make me feel real good right now, thank u to Slim, Richelle, Katina and the entire REPUBLIC team."

Apparently, this is maybe what the dress was supposed to look like?

She still rocked it! And for many fans, Minaj's minor wardrobe malfunction was still a major highlight of the show:

@TarynSouthern: "More shocking than the #wardrobemalfunction is @NICKIMINAJ actually doing her best to keep it closed. #VMAs."

@SoDamnTrue: "Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj and Jessie J just killed it. All the hits. A wardrobe malfunction. Hair flips. Vocals. #VMAs."

‏@gracewiltgen: "How can @NICKIMINAJ have a wardrobe malfunction on the vmas and still look good."

@capricecrane: "It was obvious @NICKIMINAJ had a #WardrobeMalfunction because that was the most clothed we've ever seen her. #VMAs."

@birchbox: "Props to @nickiminaj for saving what could have been a horrifically epic wardrobe malfunction. #VMAs."

Minaj's infamous booty couldn't steal all of the attention during her racy "Anaconda" performance - her bust wanted some controversy, too!
