'True Blood' Season 7 Finale: Twitter Reacts To Final Episode With Hashtag #RIPTrueBlood

The final episode of the popular vampire drama, True Blood, finally aired on HBO. To mark the occasion, Twitter followers went to the social media site to speak their thoughts as the series finale came down to the last final moments.

In our recap, loose chapters were finally closed off as numerous storylines came down to an ultimate finish. The series finale was jam-packed with with enough material to fill up an entire hour. As the episode came winding down, viewers were invited to a gorgeous wedding, a heart-breaking funeral, and an uplifting holiday celebration.

Here is how Twitter reacted to the series finale:

@Xxsophie was heartbroken to see her favorite TV show end, 'Can't bring myself to watch the last ever episode of True Blood #RIPTrueBlood"

@BBDakoda was excited to see Anna Paquin wearing their dress on the show, "Hey @TrueBloodHBO fans! Did you spot Sookie in our Renley dress last night? #RIPtrueblood"

Some were pleased with the finale as @EMCastellan shouts, "Just watched the True Blood's series finale and liked it!"

Some had a different ending in mind. @KYLEyourEGO states, "A not so special finale for #TrueBlood :'( i thought It's gonna be Eric and Sookie in the end... #RIPTrueblood"

Even the cast joined in on Twitter to say good-bye to their fans:

Actor Nathan Parsons, who plays Lafayette's boyfriend James, writes, "Ready for the @TrueBloodHBO #seasonfinale? What an amazing ride it's been! I will always cherish this incredible experience. #RIPTrueBlood"

Actor Sam Trammell, Sam Merlotte himself, tweets, "Thanks everyone for watching our show for 7 years. It's been wonderful sharing Sundays with you :) #TrueToTheEnd #RIPTrueBlood"

Actress Amelia Rose Blaire, who played Eric's progeny Willa, adds, "RT if your blood tears are flowing! Enjoy the @truebloodhbo series finale #trueblood #truetotheend"

Actress Lauren Bowles, who plays Holly, shared a wonderful pic of the entire cast together, "I love this pic from @TrueBloodHBO finale... Looks like a 60s farce @realchrisbauer @AnnaPaquin @_smoyer @parrack120"

This writer thinks that's the picture of how we want to remember the cast.
