'True Blood' Recap: Anna Paquin Says Farewell To Sookie Stackhouse In 'Thank You'

The series finale of HBO's True Blood is finally upon us. Viewers are cordially invited to the wedding of the century, a funeral, and a holiday celebration all in one jam-packed episode entitled, 'Thank You.' 

Bill (Stephen Moyer) explains to Sookie (Anna Paquin) why he won't take Sarah's antidote. The virus is making him feel human again. Compton wants to die and return back to his loved ones. In order to do that, Stackhouse must give him the ultimate kindness and deliver the true death.  

During their conversation, the yakuza are heading straight towards Sookie's place. Eric (Alexander Skarsgard)'s plan is to unchain Sarah (Anna Camp) and let her run, with Mr. Gus (Will Yun Lee) chasing after him. Northman blows up Mr. Gus and slaughters the rest of his henchmen.

Pam (Kristen Bauer van Straten) finds Sarah hiding at an abandoned carnival. Sarah tries to convince Pam she would be a a great vampire, servant, and lover. Pam could care less because all she wants is Sarah's blood. 

Jessica (Deborhan Ann Woll) returns home with Hoyt. Bill is very pleased to see the couple back together. In the spur of the moment, Hoyt asks Jessica to marry him. Bill never walked his own daughter down the aisle, which is why he would like be there for Jessica.

Sookie remembers a time when she and Tara were childhood best friends. Sookie's grandmother reminds her that she must persevere no matter what. There are no limits to what she can do.  

After Sookie meets with Bridget, she turns to Jason (Ryan Kawanten) for advice. Their conversation is interrupted when they both receive phone calls. Jessica needs a wedding dress and Hoyt needs a best man.  

During the pre-wedding festivities , Bill gives Sheriff Andy (Chris Bauer) his entire property under one condition. The newlyweds must pay $1 dollar for their monthly rent. Jason reminds Hoyt that he is going to make new memories with the love of his life. 

After Bill walks Jessica down the aisle, Andy conducts the wedding ceremony. As the couple say their "I dos," Sookie can suddenly hear Bill's thoughts. Even though he is in a lot of pain, all he can think about is how much he loves her.

At the grave site, Sookie and Bill kiss one last time. In his coffin, Bill has a photograph that he and his daughter took together. Sookie and Bill hold hands as she drives a wooden stake through his heart. 

A year has passed since Bill's true death, Eric and Pam are millionaires after distributing "New Blood." 3 years later, the two are ringing the bell n Wall Street. At Fangtasia's basement, Sarah is being tortured by Steve Newlin's ghost.

It's Thanksgiving and everybody is invited to the party. Jason and Bridget are married with a whole bunch of kids together. Sookie is pregnant, like Bill wished for her, but we never see the guy's face.

True Blood says 'Thank You' to its viewers after seven seasons. Readers, what do id you think of the series finale?
