'Community' Star Donald Glover Is 'Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man' For Disney's 'Web Warriors!' [Watch Video]

From the popular Marvel Comics title, Miles Morales is making his way from the comic book page to the TV screen on Disney's Ultimate Spider-Man. Community comedic actor Donald Glover, also known as rapper Childish Gambino, will play in the upcoming episode entitled, 'Web Warriors.'

As we mentioned here, Miles became the amazing wall-crawler after Peter Parker died in the Ultimate Universe. In the mythology, the Green Goblin delivered the deathblow to the teen superhero as he tried to save his beloved Aunt May. Though the two collided in Spider-Men, This will be the first time these two heroes will meet in the animated series.

USA Today got the scoop on the epic crossover. Much like the highly anticipated event, Spider-verse, Spider-Man will meet with his different incarnations, from the past, present, and future. In the cartoon, not only will the web-shooter meet with his Black Hispanic counterpart, he will also meet with Spider-Ham.

The 30 Rock writer started a campaign to land an audition for the main role of The Amazing Spider-Man. If you notice in the first installment, the rap star's poster is hanging on the wall of Parker (Andrew Garfield)'s bedroom. Now his dream role has finally come true.

Glover is thrilled to play the voice of his childhood hero, "That's the great part about the Spider-Man costume, he can be anybody." The comedian continues "So I just tried to be as me as possible, because you're always just going to bring it back to yourself when you watch the show."
