Fans of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. likely know by now that Lucy Lawless will guest star in Season 2 of the ABC series, and now the first photo of the former star of Xena: The Warrior Princess has hit the Internet.

You can check out the photo of Lawless at the top of the page. Season 2 of the show follows the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which dissolved S.H.I.E.L.D. The show dealt with the fallout in its final Season 1 episodes, so Season 2 will be all about rebuilding the spy organization. Lawless' character, veteran agent Isabelle Hartley, links up with Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) to help him reconstruct the agency.

In other news, Marvel has unveiled the first look at Brian Patrick Wade as Crusher Creel, better known in the comics as Absorbing Man.

Marvel posted an official announcement on its site Thursday and posted a photo of the Generation Kill and Teen Wolfstar. "With his ability to absorb the properties of anything he touches, Creel will put Coulson and his team through their paces when their second season kicks off...but you'll have to wait until then to see how their battle turns out!" Marvel said.

Actress Adrianne Palicki will also appear on the show and will play spy Bobbi Morse, aka Mockingbird, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The actress will appear in the fifth episode of the season, though she could return later. The character will appear as a possible enemy of Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his team.
