With the final season of Sons of Anarchy approaching fast, star Charlie Hunnam certainly has a bright future ahead of him. One major role announced this week is that of King Arthur in Guy Ritchie's newest movie, Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur. Hunnam will go back to his British roots for this new film, portraying one of the most iconic characters of all time opposite Idris Elba who was recently cast as a mentor figure. This new movie has a release date set for July 22, 2016.

Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur is set to be the first of a six-film franchise, with Ritchie (and now most likely Hunnam) attached to the projects for many years. Considering we should expect five more movies from this series, the Knights of the Round Table title could be the constant with different characters (i.e. Lancelot, Merlin, Guinevere, or what have you) becoming the focuses of the other movies. This is just a thought.

We should also mention that some reports aren't using the Knight of the Roundtable part of the title, and just sticking with King Arthur. For now, we'll stick with the longer name considering what we just said in the previous paragraph.

Whatever the case, we love the idea of Hunnam landing another leading role of ... well a leader! He tackled a Hamlet allegory with Sons of Anarchy, so clearly moving into the Arthurian Legend realm would be great for him. Plus the involvement of Ritchie and Elba add to the attractiveness of the project(s).
