Glee's final season is set to premiere this winter on Fox, and fans need to prepare themselves because from what we are hearing the new season is going to show some major shakeups for all our favorite cast members, including Rachel (Lea Michele), Blaine (Darren Criss) and Kurt (Chris Colfer).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cast is set to return to their roots in Lima, Ohio. When we last left the cast Rachel Berry was leaving New York to pursue her acting career, but according to THR the former Funny Girl star will be moving back to Ohio after a "humiliating failure," as a TV actress.

Berry will also try to figure out what to do after finding out that Sue Sylvester has gotten rid of her former Glee club.

The departure of the acapella group has forced Will (Matthew Morrison) to find a new job in Ohio along with former club members Blaine (Darren Criss) and Sam (Chord Overstreet).

We previously reported that Max Adler's character of Dave Karofsky was set to return to the series and would be causing drama between Kurt and Blaine.

THR caught up with creator Ryan Murphy at the Emmy awards on Monday where he spoke a little but about the final season, telling them he wasn't sure how he was going to end the series.

"I did. I don't anymore, but I think it will be emotional," the creator explained.

He says that his original ending featured Rachel and Finn (Cory Monteith) getting together, but after the actors untimely death, Murphy had to rework the finale.

He explained that he wanted the finale to feature the "star-crossed lovers getting together and having a happy ending and them both getting their dreams." But he says, "The fact that that can't be is a big pain in all of our hearts."

The new season will premiere during the midseason on Fox.
