Abercrombie & Fitch Drops Logo From Clothing After Shares Dropped This Week - Name Brand Isn't Trendy Anymore

After some disappointment in stocks and shares this week, it looks like Abercrombie and Fitch has definitely fallen from the top of the trendy clothing pedestal it used to sit upon some years ago. In order to keep moving forward, the preppy clothing company has made a decision to drop its logo from its clothing, therefore making the clothing more accessible for consumers. What do you think of this new brand redesign?

Those familiar with the brand know that the logo has been a huge part of the clothing line. Shirts, sweatshirts and any other form of clothing had "Abercrombie and Fitch" very visible for any passerby to notice. That is all about to change, though.

"Personal style, specifically with teens, is becoming less about fitting in and more about standing out," said senior advisory analyst at fashion trend consultancy WGSN Lauren Wolfenden. "A&F has wised up to this by phasing out the cookie-cutter logo-ed product look and bringing in trendy pieces that can be worn in a multitude of different ways."

In a conference call for investors, controversial CEO Mark Jeffries announced: "In the spring season, we are looking to take the North American logo business to practically nothing."
