The wait is now over, Gabrielle Union is officially Mrs. Dwyane Wade!!! The Being Mary Jane star tied the knot with Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade over weekend in Miami where new details are starting to emerge about the couples big day.

One major detail fans finally know is the designer of Union's wedding dress. The 41-year-old has revealed that Dennis Basso was the designer behind her breathtaking gown as she walked down the aisle to get married for a second time.

Union captioned the photo below, "Thank you thank you thank you @DennisBasso for helping me design THE most perfect gowns for the most special night of my life... So grateful... So happy."

Proud Basso also added a photo of himself with Union writing, "Congratulations to the beautiful bride @gabunion and @dwyanewade she looks amazing in my gown #wedding #marriage #love #couture"

Union thought she had her gown figured out when first stepping in to NYC’s Kleinfeld bridal store, but according to PEOPLE, Basso revealed that the new bride had a change of heart.

"Like most brides to be, Gabrielle came in with her stylist Jason Bolden with a clear vision," Basso said. "But everything changed when she tried on gowns! Together [we all] decided that she wanted to be surprising. She came in wanting sexy, and to accentuate her amazing figure, but that evolved."

Union wanted to make sure she looked up to part with her stylish husband. "She talked about Dwayne being so fashionable and really wanting to parallel that with her gown," Basso explained. "We looked at swatches, took measurements, even considered what flowers she would carry. It was an amazing collaboration."

"We literally built the entire bodice and corset specifically for her," the designer says. "The entire dress is hand beaded with pearls and crystals. She wanted something that glistened without looking too 'cha cha cha,' still chic. The material was flown in from Italy. The skirt is perfectly draped to accent her shape and the slit gives the opportunity to show off the shoes and her great legs!"

Union wanted to surprise the Miami Heat star with her design. "Literally, she looks like a living doll - her waist is extraordinarily tiny in this gown!" Basso says. "Gabrielle was all about creating a fashion moment."
