After months of featuring clips and trailers, Lifetime finally aired its highly anticipated docudrama, The Unauthorized Saved By The Bell Story. Viewers were taken behind-the-scenes of the popular  NBC teen soap as young child actors, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen (Alyssa Lynch) Elizabeth Berkley (Tiera Skovbye), and Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Dylan Everett) rose from a group of unknowns to pop culture icons.

Based on Diamond's tell-all memoirs, there was a romance brewing between Theissen (Lynch) and Gosselaar (Dylan Everett) off-screen. Lopez (Julian Works) was super cocky and became even more so after scoring with groupies. While Berkley (Skovbye)  was trying to keep the peace between her co-stars, Twitter followers were tweeting their thoughts as each scene went by.

@Jpoggi specifically made plans to watch the Lifetime dramedy, "Best way to celebrate Labor Day -- watching the Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story #SavedByTheBell

@GingerDaMore was pretty excited to see the made-for-TV movie, "Of course I'm watching #Unauthorized #SavedBytheBell, it's a special occasion. I may even pour a glass of 7 Eleven wine, like a classy broad."

@LisaMarieBowman writes, "I was hoping it would be like Sharknado 2 but instead, it was more like Zodiac: Signs of the Apocalypse. #Unauthorized #SavedByTheBell #SyFy"

@Melissa_nadine describes watching the fake biopic, "Did you watch the #SavedByTheBell movie? Ugh! It should've been called 'The Dustin Diamond Sob Story.'"

While watching, @SarahWycoff was not pleased with the production value, "Anyone else think lifetime probably spent more money on music rights then they did on anything else for this movie? #savedbythebell"

@MonicaHesse was expecting something else though, "Important questions regarding the #SavedByTheBell movie: How will they deal with the Tori situation? Does Zack Attack get a mention?"

@TheRayAnderson mentions there were gaps in the story, "I watched the #SavedByTheBell movie. It was ok but I feel they should've gone more in depth during the 'Tori' era."

@HeadOfHOFFhold thought there were still stories left untold, "How did Zach Morris get the powers to make the world around him take a timeout, and why was that backstory never discussed? #SavedByTheBell"

A few like @DLANGLE thought the characterization was done well, "Haters can hate Dustin Diamond all they want but he captured Mario's personality correctly:self centered and a womanizer. #SavedByTheBell"

@MissMandyHale also agreed, "Screech looks like Screech but I'm not a huge fan of the rest of the casting. I have high standards when it comes to #SavedByTheBell ;-)"
