Fifty Shades of Grey hasn't even premiered in theaters yet but there is already news of who the director wants to star in the sequel.  Keeping Up With The Kardashian star Kendall Jenner's name has been thrown into the running to play a role in the Sam Taylor-Wood's follow up to the BDSM film based on the E.L. James novels. While the first film will premiere this coming Valentine's Day, work on the sequel could possibly begin around the same time.

According to MailOnline, "[Sam]'s fascinated by [Kendall] and expressed interest in her appearing in the first film but it didn't happen," an insider said to Grazia magazine.

And it appears that not just the director is interested in Kendall for the film. "Universal is also keen for Kendall to be involved in the sequel," the source explained. "They put in a call to her people and arranged a meeting last month, which went really well."

Could the reality star turned model add some acting to her resume? All signs are pointing to yes.

"It wouldn't be a major role but would certainly be a foot in the door of Hollywood," the insider said.

However, Kendall does have one stipulation, she isn't signing until Taylor-Wood does. "Apparently, she'll only sign on once Sam Taylor-Wood is confirmed as the director."

It seems like for the KUTWK star this would be the next logical move in her career path, as the fashion model just recently announced she was dropping the last name of Jenner to build her own brand without her family name having influence.

"She just wants some independence from her family," a source told HollywoodLife. "It's really important to Kendall that she make a name for herself on her own and she feels like dropping her last name helps with that goals."
