With Arrow and The Flash gaining tons of critical acclaim on the CW network, another DC Comics superhero is making their way onto your television screen. Greg Berlanti, Allison Adler, Geoff Johns, and Michael Green are working together on bringing Superman's cousin, Supergirl, as a potential TV series for mass audiences.

The Hollywood Reporter announces that the blonde-haired super heroine will be joining her male counterparts on the TV screen. Warner Bros. Television is reuniting the No Ordinary Family creators, Berlanti and Ali Adler, once again for the TV series. Because Johns is an executive producer on Arrow and Flash, he may have a similar role on the show too.

Green's name should be recognizable to comic book fans. The Heroes producer penned the  reboot of the Supergirl series during the start of DC's New 52. Along with co-writer Mike Johnson and artist Mahmud Asrar rejuvenated the titled character for newcomers in Last Daughter of Krypton with a feisty attitude and updated costume.

Known as Kara Zor-El in the comics, our hero may not be known by her own given title. Due to creative rights issues, there may be a problem with putting "Super" in the title. This is also the reason why the Superboy prequel, starring Tom Welling, was titled, Smallville.

Adler is currently writing the pilot script but no casting announcements have been made. According to Variety, the project is in its early stages and has yet to be shopped to the major networks.V star Laura Vandervoort was the last person to play the live-action version of Kara.

A Supergirl series is in the works, and seating a home among TV networks. Readers, are you excited to see Superman's cousin get her own TV show?
