Warner Bros. Chief Executive Kevin Tsujihara told employees Thursday that job cuts would be made "across the studio." The CEO did not elaborate on when and how these jobs will be cut.

Tsujihara sent a note to staff Thursday stating the company is, "in a position of unparalleled strength." The CEO sent the memo after circulating rumors regarding staff reductions.

The reason being as Bloomberg reports is it being a part of a drive to position the film and television studio for future growth.

"To maintain this position, we are constantly reviewing our global business to make sure we're operating as efficiently and effectively as possible," Tsujihara wrote. "We are doing our best to minimize staff reductions. However, and it pains me to say this, positions will be eliminated-at every level-across the studio."

Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes rejected Rupert Murdoch's $75 billion takeover bid last year and promises a plan to make Warner Bros. more efficient.

Bloomberg News reported Sept. 2 that the Studio was offering buyouts to some workers.

"In making these decisions, we will follow all applicable protocols," Tsujihara said. "Your divisional and departmental leadership will share more information with you about these changes in the months ahead."

Workers are hoping the news comes quick as Warner Bros. Entertainment employees 7,400 workers in the Burbank area alone. Walt Disney Co. has the leading employee rates with 7,900 workers, according to Burbankca.gov.

Warner Bros. also known, as Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. is one of the major film subsidiaries of Time Warner, headquartered in Burbank, California and New York.  Top grossing films include The Dark Knight with a total gross of $533 million. Followed by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, $448 million. Other popular films from the studio include, Inception, The Matrix Reloaded, The Hangover, Sex and the City and Oceans Twelve.
