Game of Thrones actor Kristian Nairn suggested last week that he and Isaac Hempstead-Wright would not appear in Season 5 of the HBO hit as Hodor and Bran, respectively. But apparently this is not the case for the young Stark child.

Hempstead-Wright did an interview for his new movie The Boxtrolls and revealed that he would indeed be back for the fifth season without Hodor or Meera Reed (Ellie Kendrick). Skip to the 5:50 mark of the video below for the pertinent portion:

So perhaps Nairn was not referring to Bran in his comments last week. "We have a season off and we have a year's hiatus, solely because I imagine our storyline is up to the end of the books," he said. "So, I get my year off now to do Rave of Thrones and gallivant all over the world."

This could mean any scenes of Bran in Season 5 would just be of him talking to the Three-Eyed Raven and training to use his warg power, but we'll find out next season.

George R.R. Martin is working on the sixth book in the series, but Bran Stark's storyline on the show has already caught up to the end of the fifth book, A Dance With Dragons. The group reached the Three Eyed Raven in the Season 4 finale, which is Bran's current position in the books.

In other news, EW.com reports Sherlock co-creator, writer, producer and actor Mark Gatiss will return as Tycho Nestoris in the fifth season of the mega-hit show. He should be back on the set in Croatia next week.

How do you think Bran will appear in Season 5? Let us know in the comments.
