One might imagine that the New Yorker Festival is merely a large room of surly attendees yelling obscenities and slurs towards one another for a whole day. Alas, it's actually a prestigious event hosted by The New Yorker every year, one that carries some amazing interviews and conversations with some of the most interesting people and subjects around.

The New York Times recently reported that this year's event would feature Curb Your Enthusiasm's Larry David and legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim.

The two will appear in conversation, at separate times, with contributors to The New Yorker. The soon-to-be Broadway star, David, will be seen in conversation with journalist David Remnick, who joked, "I think we're going to do an in-depth discussion of 'Palestinian Chicken,' which may be the best episode of sitcom TV ever" –– referring to the 2011 Curb episode.

The 2014 event will not only feature the appearances of both David and Sondheim, but also a number of US film premieres, including, "Listen Up Phillip" and "The Humbling."

This year's New Yorker Festival will occur from Oct. 10 – 12. More information, including ticket purchases, can be viewed here. Tickets go on sale this coming Friday at 12 p.m.

MStarsNews recently reported that Larry David will star in the upcoming Broadway play, Fish in the Dark, which he also wrote. The show will begin preview performances this coming Feb. 2015, with an official opening occurring the following month. Tickets are available here.

So, while we may not be seeing Larry David on another season of Curb Your Enthusiasm anytime soon, at least we're getting an LD fix somehow, right?
