Ray Rice recently was given a two-game suspension earlier this year by the NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. During a press conference, Goodell allowed Rice to be present when Palmer met with the commissioner at the NFL offices.

We previously learned that NFL officials reported that they did not see the new video footage until today. A spokesperson for the league stated, "We requested from law enforcement any and all information about the incident, including the video from inside the elevator. That video was not made available to us and no one in our office has seen it until today."

The Ravens are also being critized for their part in the assault, after a another ( first video earlier this year ) video emerged showing Rice dragging his then unconscious fiancee out of the casino elevator.

They held a terrible, and unorganized press conference where Rice apologized to owner Steve Bisciotti, GM Ozzie Newsome, and the head coach John Harbaugh, for his actions, but not to his wife. Rice said in his prepared statement, "Failure is not getting knocked down, it's not getting back up."

Rice will now become a free agent, following his termination.
