Cher is perhaps one of the biggest stars around, and for that reason the excitement surrounding the second stint of her Dressed to Kill tour caused a major buzz, however, due to an "acute viral infection", she's had to postpone the tour. Her opening show was supposed to take place in New York on September 11, but now it will take place a month later. The postponement will roughly see some of her shows happen a month later than expected, but the superstar insists the show will go on.

Cher has been told to rest after visiting the doctors, and it seems she was quick to take their advice and make the cancellation. Ticket holders that can no longer attend the rescheduled will receive a full refund. The tour opened in late March, and with over 600,000 fans that have attended over 49 shows, it's looking to be one of the best-selling tours of the year. It's believed the tour had generated a little under $55 million, showing how important it is financially for Cher to get back on the road.

The tour's, now postponed, second leg, will see Emmy Award-winning fashion designer Bob Mackie showcasing his new costumes. The pair have worked together for a long time, but he was unable to design costumes for the first leg of the tour, meaning once Cher is healthy, not only will she take the stage, but Mackie's work will, too. Cher's DTK tour has been a huge hit because she hasn't toured since 2002, meaning this could be the only chance many get to see her perform live.

Have you attended any of Cher, or are you planning on doing so? Despite their huge earnings, do music stars work too hard?
