TMZ has revealed that G.R.L. singer Simone Battle was having financial problems when she decided to commit suicide.

Friends and family members revealed to law enforcement that the singer was depressed when it came to her money issues lately, although they weren't specific in details, they did share that money was weighing her down.

The family is still confused on why Battle killed herself, because they claim that the 25-year-old was part of a successful girl group that had just finished their overseas tour.

Sources close to Battle revealed to cops that she was frustrated with not making it in the U.S. and feared that she would never make it. It appears that Battle wasn't doing so well financially overseas, leading up to her suicide.

MStars News previously learned that the Battle was found dead hanging from a clothing rod in a bedroom closet at her West Hollywood home. The 25-year-old's boyfriend was the person who found the singer's body around 8:30 A.M. TMZ revealed that he had last seen Battle alive 5 hours before.

Simone was found dead the morning of September 5, her father, Anthony Battle said. "She will be greatly missed and loved," he shared. "She was a very exuberant person and a very loved person." Battle was 25.

In 2011 Battle was a contestant of the The X Factor, U.S. edition. "What I like about you is that you really are fearless," Simon Cowell said during her audition. Battle become a finalist, and was later eliminated.

After her time on X Factor, Battle released a video for her solo single, called,  "He Likes Boys."  In 2013, the singer re-emerged as one of five members of G.R.L., selected by Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin.
