MStars News has been keeping you updated with all the latest details as RHOA star Apollo Nida reports to a Kentucky prison.

Before reporting to prison to serve out his 8-year prison term Nida had time to do some reflecting with Forbes, and revealed that he had some regrets going back to prison.

Nida, now inmate, 65725-019 wanted people to know that he has a very kind heart, despite his bad decision making. Nida said,

"I want people to know that I am kind-hearted person despite my choices. We all make choices; some good and some bad, but people can still be considered good people. I would give my last dime to any person that needs it and I have given my last to my family. I know that many people have a negative perception of me, but I do want people to understand that this situation is hard. I am truly hurting. I wish I could start over; do the right thing; possibly go to college and get a degree; and overall make better decisions."

Despite being on RHOA, and sparking a lot of drama between himself and his wife, Phaedra Parks when it came down his relationship with co-star, Kenya Moore, Nida says he doesn't regret being on the show.

"When I look back on my five years on the show, I don't regret being on the show. At the time, I thought I was supporting my wife and her role on the show. Now that I look back on where I am now and where I came from, I wish I had taken a step back and truly figured out how to determine a storyline without causing any controversy."

Nida, was sentened to eight years in federal prison on July 8, for conspiring to commit mail, wire and bank fraud. He is the father of two young sons, and says he does have regrets about not being their for his boys as they grow up.

"I have two major regrets. The first is not being true to myself. When I came out of prison the first time, I told myself that I never wanted to be in this situation again. I had numerous talks with myself. I knew how to stay out of trouble but I lost focus. I didn't stay true and I found myself quickly caught up in the same lifestyle I left six years prior. When I came home from prison, I wanted to be different. I wanted to live an honest life. I really did. I should have stuck to my guns. My second regret is letting my boys down. Now, my kids are going to have Christmas without their dad because of my decisions. Although I let them down, I will never stop loving them."

He continued, revealing that he would miss his life, and his boys.

"Man, I've lived an interesting life. I am going to miss everything in my life. First and foremost, I will miss my sons the most. Ayden and Dylan mean the world to me. I grew up without a father so leaving my boys is extremely difficult. But I will also miss those little things that you just can't do in prison. Things like the leather seats in my car, going out for a steak dinner, flying out of town; you name it, I will miss it. Overall, I will miss my freedom."

Forbes revealed that Nida's last few days have been spent filming for RHOA Season 7. They also said that Nida was getting his things in order so that he will have opportunities when he gets out of prison.

MStars News previously learned that Nida was out partying and drinking while attending strip clubs, abandoning his family, instead of spending time with Parks, and his sons.

This might explain why he has not been able to see his sons, as Forbes shared that he spent time reflecting on his bad choices, and hoped to spend time with his boys.
