With their movie making headlines in the box office race, Marvel Comics continues its winning streak with the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy #19. Writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Ed McGuinness will reveal the truth about what happened between Star-Lord, Nova, and Thanos when they were trapped in the Cancerverse.

In the Original Sin story arc, the Watcher was murdered and his all-seeing eye was brutally gouged out. In the mythology, the Watcher knows every dirty secret, weakness, and little detail surrounding the Marvel superheroes and super villains. Imagine what someone would do if they had that type of knowledge in the grasp of their hands.

In the Marvel Universe, there was a period of time where Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord, was all of a sudden missing. While the rest of the Guardians thought their leader was dead, Star-Lord was actually stranded in the Cancerverse with Thanos and Richard Rider, the former Nova. Though references have been made to the event, Thanos and Star-Lord have remained silent about what actually took place in the Cancerverse.

In the Original Sin tie-in, Star-Lord and Nova fight valiantly against Thanos. Peter Quill and Thanos returned from the nightmare universe, but Nova did not. The truth behind their hellish imprisonment has kept secret until Gamora demanded answers happened. Will she be able to look at Quill the same after he tells her what really happened?

In case you missed out on the summer blockbuster on year, we have 5 ways the comic book is quite similar to James Gunn's feature film. This is a sci-fi flick that is meant to be seen on the big screen.

Guardians of the Galaxy #19 will hit stores on September 25. Readers, are you excited to hear about Star-Lord's Original Sin?
