In the recent profile piece written by the New York Times, Lena Dunham puts her new book, Not That Kind of Girl, out on public display. Readers learn that Dunham had many quirky tendencies, like sleeping in her parents' bed until the age of 12.

"Around 1 a.m., once my parents were finally asleep, I would creep into their room and kick my father out of bed, setting into the warmth of his spot and passing out beside my mother, the brief guild displacing him far outweighed by the joy of no longer being alone." Dunham was forced to stop sleeping in her parents bed when her younger sister, who is six years younger, began crawling into bed with Dunham, This seemed to satisfy her sleeping needs as this lasted until the actress went to college.

The star of the HBO show, Girls has an appropriate foot in the door to proclaim a book such as, "Not That Kind of Girl" Dunham is known to many as one of the brightest young women to enter Hollywood. This can be confirmed by her eight Emmy Award nominations as a writer, director, actress and producer. She has also won two Golden Globe Awards for Girls as well as being the first woman to win a Directors Guild Award for Outstanding Director in a Comedy Series.

Being considered this 'genius' you would think that a little neuroticism would be in play.

New York Times states that the book, "traffics heavily in stories of psychotherapy, neurotic meltdowns, toxic relationships and questionable personal choices, refashioned as highly comic if also uncomfortable anecdotes turned life lessons."

In one of the exerts from her book, she not only struggles with sleep behaviors but also medicinal issues. "Once, before I got on medication, I was so freaked out and O.C.D'd... but sometimes if you stay up too long on Ambien, it makes you hallucinate."

Possibly this was the cause for the late night entries to her parents bed? Either way we will be on the lookout for Dunham's new book out this month.
