Jennifer Garner Reveals The Lengths Ben Affleck Will Go For His Family

Draft Day actress Jennifer Garner and October 2014 InStyle cover girl reveals the ins and outs of marriage to Ben Affleck and raising their three adorable children to the magazine.

"When we had our first, we had only been together a year. We were babies. It happened so fast," the actress explains. Their first child was Violet, now 8 years old. "Now we're just starting to go away for a night here and there. You go through phases. You can't expect to be courted all the time, and I don't want to court him right now — I don't have the energy!"

The actress is very busy. This year alone, she stared in the movie Draft Day co-starring Kevin Costner. She's also appearing in Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day and Men, Women & Children, heading to the big screen this fall.

Affleck, one of the most sought out actors in Hollywood, is understandably busy. However, the lengths he goes to spend meaningful time with his children is just plain lovely. This year he has been busy as Batman in the new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the new movie Gone Girl.

"I keep things rolling and foster his connections to the kids," Garner continues. "He'll always make time for them — he screwed up a week of production to take our daughter to her first day of kindergarten — but there's only so much, practically speaking, that he can do. I make sure that I am facilitating the most meaning for each kid out of whatever time he has."

It sounds like Ben and Jen are co-parenting superheroes. We love that!
