Beyoncé and her talent representatives at the agency ICM are currently shopping a feature documentary about her life and career that the pop star will reportedly star in, direct, and produce herself.

According to a source who reported to the Los Angeles Times, the documentary will most likely combine concert footage and confessional interviews, highlighting the ups-and-downs of Beyoncé's personal life and her work as a musician. The source claims that 20 minutes of such footage has already been shown to prospective distributors.

While on the topic of films, Beyoncé also recently signed on to voice a character for the upcoming animated movie "Epic," a fantasy-adventure story based on the novel "The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs."

Beyoncé previously starred in (but did not produce or direct) the 2011 MTV documentary "Beyoncé: Year of 4." This intimate film allowed fans to experience the private life Beyoncé led while taking a year off before the release of her most recent hit album "4." The documentary followed the pop star's return to the studio, where she put her artistic heart and soul into the making of her fourth solo studio album "4," which features such hits including "Countdown," "Love on Top," and "Run the World (Girls)." The album was released in June 2011, after Beyoncé parted ways with longtime manager and father Matthew Knowles in March 2011.

Much has happened to Beyoncé since last summer - she has given birth to daughter Blue Ivy Carter with hip-hop husband Jay-Z, she returned to the stage to perform sold-out audiences in promotion of "4," and rumors have it that she is currently in the studio putting together new material.

So it looks like Beyoncé has a lot of exciting things to cover in her upcoming documentary.  The film was initially delayed because of Beyoncé's pregnancy and it now remains in pre-production as producers continue to look for a male lead. Jay-Z maybe?
