For all of the diehard Bridesmaids fans that have been waiting for a sequel since the first film came out back in 2011, well you are going to have to wait indefinitely, as star and co-writer Kristen Wiig just revealed that she has no plans of making another one. The Skeleton Twins star explained her reasoning for not doing a follow up movie during an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres's talk show.

According to E! News, Wiig explained that she doesn't feel like the movie really needs a sequel. When Ellen asked the star if she had plans to write another one that star simply said "No."

"No, I think it's OK to have it just be what it was," the star explained. "I appreciate that people want us to do another one, but... it's just something we knew when we did the first one just felt very special and fun."

However, fans don't need to fret because Wiig reveals that her and Annie Mumolo, who also co-wrote Bridesmaids, are currently working on another project together.

This news comes just a day after Mindy Kaling revealed that she almost took home the role as Kristen's bestie in the flick, which ultimately went to Maya Rudolhp.

Could you have imagined Bridesmaids with a different leading star? The Mindy Project star and writer explains during her appearance on Andy Cohen's talk show, Watch What Happens Live that she was up for an audition to play the bride in the comedic movie.

When a viewer calls in to ask Kaling if there has ever been a role that she audition for that she didn't get she reveals, "No one ever calls me in to audition for things because I'm so specific." However, the 35-year-old does explain that the role in Bridesmaid was probably the one she was most sad about not getting.

"You know what it was, Bridesmaids, which was a movie I loved," Kaling reveals. "it was for Maya Rudolph's part. I practiced it so much and was so into it and I loved that whole cast. That was one that was heartbreaking."
