'Star Wars 7' Title News, Casting SPOILERS & Plot Rumors: WWE's Sheamus Addresses Darth Vader 'Episode VII' Speculation

One of the biggest rumors surrounding the upcoming Disney and Lucasfilm movie Star Wars: Episode VII was that Darth Vader would be making an appearance. While we still don't know for sure if the character will somehow show up in the film, the person rumored to be playing the Jedi-turned-Sith villain, WWE star Sheamus, has finally addressed the speculation - and he's as confused as most of us are about this story!

Not only did Star Wars fans for months have to consider that the rumors about Vader's return were possible, but add in the fact that a WWE star with no real movie experience was the one that the gossip was circling to take on the role. Certainly this was one of the rumors we could've written off right away, but then Sheamus visited Ireland around the same time Episode VII was filming in the country. Was this a coincidence? If anything, it helped us almost expect the rumors to be true. Fortunately for those not too excited about this casting call, the professional wrestler is as confused about this gossip as most of us!

"That was crazy," he said, according to The National. "Basically I went home to Ireland and the crew were filming quite close to me at the time, then all these mad rumors started flying around. I definitely haven't received a contract, a helmet or a lightsaber yet, but who knows? It might come through the door. I hope it does."
