Scandal Season 4 Spoilers: Olivia Pope's Location is Unexpectedly Crazy

The Season 4 premiere of ABC's Scandal is almost here, which means fans will soon find out where exactly Olivia Pope went in the Season 3 finale. Of course, star Kerry Washington already knows where her character is and offers a brief preview in a recent interview.

E! Online caught up with Washington at Allstate's Purple Purse Program event and the actress offered the following tease.

"I know where Olivia went, but I really don't know a lot," Washington said. "I'm actually glad we don't get like a full outline of the season, because then I don't have to feel bad about lying to people and not telling things. I don't know what's going on. All I have is through episode four, so I know a bit more than you do." The actress then said the location is "crazier than we've imagined."

A previous promo at E! Online seemed to reveal where Olivia and her on-again, off-again lover Jake (Scott Foley) went at the end of Season 3. Jake repeatedly asked Olivia to "stand in the sun" with him, and it appears that expression was literal, as the promo shows the two on a tropical beach with some wine. Of course, she won't stay there for long, though it's unclear exactly what brings her back to her old life when the show returns on Sept. 25.
