Now that summer's officially over, there's at least one thing to look forward to this chilly fall - Halloween!

It's only September, but why not prepare for the spooks and scares a little early this year? A slew of new horror flicks are scheduled to hit theaters next month - and some of the movie trailers look downright horrifying. Check out these five upcoming films that are sure to make readers jump in their seats at least once!

Ouija: "A group of friends must confront their most terrifying fears when they awaken the dark powers of an ancient spirit board."

October 24:

Annabelle: "A couple begin to experience terrifying supernatural occurrences involving a vintage doll shortly after their home is invaded by satanic cultists."

Follow-up to last year's hit, "The Conjuring."

 

October 24:

Gone Girl: "With his wife's disappearance having become the focus of an intense media circus, a man sees the spotlight turned on him when it's suspected that he may not be innocent."

Bonus points - stars Ben Affleck.

October 3:

ABC's of Death 2: "Be ready to learn your ABC's again with 26 new directors and 26 new deaths bring your kids to a blood and gore filled horror so good your face will be blood red."

October 2 (31):

Exists: "A group of friends who venture into the remote Texas woods for a party weekend find themselves stalked by Bigfoot."
